Taryn Nielsen | Receptionist
Taryn joined the Salon Bellissima team in 2025 and has already brought so much creativity, talent, and positive energy to our salon. With a background in graphic design and experience at the prestigious James Alan Salon in Seattle, she brings a unique eye for beauty, branding, and guest experience to everything she does.
As part of our front of house team, Taryn helps keep our days running smoothly by scheduling appointments, welcoming guests, and making people smile the moment they walk through the door. She will also be stepping into a creative coordinator role, helping support our design team and bringing fresh inspiration to the Salon Bellissima brand behind the scenes.
We are so excited to have her creativity, kindness, and passion as part of our growing team and cannot wait for our guests to continue getting to know and love her

Grey Blending Specialist
With a profound passion for hair and an unwavering commitment to staying ahead of trends, Shana Gash has brought a wealth of experience to the Salon Bellissima team since 2018. Her love for helping clients feel their best is evident in every appointment, whether she’s creating stunning balayage, intricate baby lights, or bold color transformations. Helping women age confidently with a grey blending focus has become her specialty. Shana thrives on crafting looks that empower her guests and forge lasting connections, but spends just as much focus on making sure the team is thriving like usual. Shana takes on time for assistants, beauty school shows, community events, and one on one time or group sessions with all the Bellissima babes.
Outside the salon, Shana enjoys family adventures with her husband, three children, and their playful beagle, "Dancer."
Liana Harvey | Front Desk Manager
Liana has been a part of the Salon Bellissima family since 2021 and has grown into our incredible Lead Receptionist (and practically our right-hand assistant.) From the moment you walk through our doors, she makes every guest, employee, or friend feel welcomed, cared for, and you feel the permission to relax, we’ve got this now.
Our guests absolutely adore her because they know she will always go above and beyond to take care of them — all with the biggest smile and the calmest presence. Probably a beverage or snack to offer too. Whether she’s helping keep the salon running smoothly, supporting our team behind the scenes, or making someone’s day at the front desk, Liana does it all with so much heart.
She is such a valuable asset to our entire team, and we honestly couldn’t imagine Salon Bellissima without her. But when she’s away she is a FANTASTIC house sitter, animal babysitter, and the girl likes to dress up and go dancing. You’ll love her positive energy, she’ll be waiting for you!
Heather Thorson | Hairstylist| Educator | Fine Hair Specialist
A Bellingham native, Heather Thorson has been a licensed Cosmetologist since 2009 and a Journeyman Makeup Artist since 2007. Her dedication to ongoing education shines through her role as a Regional Master Trainer for Davines, the esteemed Italian haircare brand. With extensive experience in hair and makeup, Heather is a sought-after Wedding Beauty Specialist, especially skilled with fine hair and children’s styling.
Heather’s most recent achievement was becoming an International Davines Color Genius at the Brooklyn house in New York. Months of classes, hours of preparation and memory strains, but we are so proud of her and can’t wait to follow her to her next big accomplishment. Congrats Heather!!
Outside the salon, she enjoys birdwatching and exploring the world with her husband.
Lacey Summers | Hairstylist | Balayage Specialist
Since graduating as Valedictorian from the Northwest Hair Academy in 2013, Lacey Summers has been a cornerstone of Salon Bellissima, bringing creativity and precision to every client she serves. Inspired by her mother, a seasoned stylist, Lacey thrives on exploring new possibilities, particularly excelling in balayage and hair painting techniques.
But Lacey is more than a stylist to the team, she’s our listener, our mindset shifter, and burst of good feelings you can’t ignore. This is what keeps her guests coming back, her meticulous attention to detail and warm, inviting personality. She will ensure that every guest enjoys a transformative experience, leaving the salon with a style that perfectly complements their individuality.
Outside the salon, Lacey cherishes time with her family, helping people find peace from within, and is an avid Seahawks fan. Go hawks! She also collects rocks.
Chelsie Madrid | Hairstylist | Natural and Lived-in Looks
Chelsie Madrid began her journey in beauty at the Northwest Hair Academy for Paul Mitchell, graduating in 2010. After gaining valuable experience at JC Penney’s Salon and refining her customer care skills at the Chrysalis Inn and Spa, Chelsie joined Salon Bellissima in 2018. Her passion lies in every aspect of hair care, and overall wellness. with a special love for cutting, styling, and balayage looks that are so natural you didn’t even know it was time for your hair appointment again.
Chelsie’s vibrant personality and love for music infuse her work with creativity and joy. You will hear her singing from our breakroom, it’s hard not to join in, she just becomes contagious. Lashes are becoming Chelsie’s new passion inside of the industry, doing the whole package, she’s always been good at the fine details it totally makes sense.
Outside the salon, she enjoys life’s simple pleasures with her cute family and bearded dragon Cheetah.
April Longwosser | Hairstylist | Curly Hair Specialist
April Longwosser joined Salon Bellissima in January 2020, bringing nearly 18 years of expertise to the team. Her passion for hairstyling is matched by her dedication to understanding each guest's unique needs. April’s true zone of genius, is getting to a trust level with her guests, where every appointment is more of a visit with a real friend, but leaving with a new do and lovely feeling you can’t ignore With a particular understanding for curly hair, short cuts, and styling, April is one of our busiest stylists by far. Her positivity and enthusiasm shine through in every visit with her guests, she adores her time with each one.
Outside the salon, she enjoys gardening, hiking, and exploring the arts, always staying inspired and connected.
Danielle Nederhood | Hairstylist | Davines Educator
Danielle began her hairstyling career in 2011 and brought her expertise to Salon Bellissima in January 2020 after nine successful years at Regis Salons. Certified as a Balayage Specialist, Brazilian Blowout Artist, and Malibu C color correction specialist. Most recently Danielle is known for her mastery in Davines Education, and travels from salon to salon to help educate abroad. This is more than just your average fashion colors, bleach and tones, and color correction. For Danielle, it’s passion about education- and she loves sharing her knowledge with clients and fellow professionals.
Outside the salon, Danielle enjoys reading, caring for her son and husband, plants and animals, and exploring new culinary creations.
Kyla Young | Hairstylist | Bridal Specialist
Originally from Sitka, AK, Kyla Young came to Bellingham in 2023 to go to beauty school, and launch her hairstyling career. Then Salon Bellissima took her on as an student intern, and the passion took off. During her training and internship at the salon, she developed a love for cuts, colors-and her favorite-bridal services while gaining invaluable experience from senior stylists.
Since that time Kyla has grown to be one of our most requested bridal stylists. It has been amazing watching her talent really bloom, In 2026 Kyla was named our Stylist of the Year for overall growth after just 3 years. She cares about her guests, and never gives up on education, she is someone who will do her best and keep you feeling right at home in her chair.
Kyla is particularly passionate about working with tribal members, ensuring their hair is cared for in a way that honors their cultural traditions. Committed to building genuine connections, she eagerly welcomes all clients, listening carefully to bring their hair visions to life.
Jenna Jeffrey | Hairstylist
Jenna completed her training at Paul Mitchell, The School, Boise, in 2022, excelling in the advanced phase two program and serving as a COPE member, mentoring new students. After gaining experience as a hairstylist in both Idaho and Washington, Jenna joined Salon Bellissima in 2024. She specializes in blonding, dimensional brunettes, and creating lived-in blonde looks, always aiming to help her clients feel their absolute best.
Outside the salon, Jenna enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with loved ones in Bellingham.
Shannon Brinkerhoff | Hairstylist
Shannon joined the Salon Bellissima team in June of 2020, bringing over 20 years of experience in coloring and styling. With a passion for helping clients achieve their desired looks, she uses her extensive knowledge to bring their hair visions to life.
Trained in Utah and with experience as an assistant in New York, Shannon is always eager to expand her skillset by learning new techniques. For her, the most rewarding part of hairstyling is the relationships she builds with her clients.
Shannon loves calling Bellingham home, where she and her family take full advantage of the outdoor activities the area has to offer. She looks forward to working with you and helping you look and feel your best.
Kyla Black, aka “Ky” | Hairstylist | Educator & Davines Envoy
Kyla is a talented and dedicated stylist trained at Gene Juarez, specializing in personalized, multidimensional hair color that complements each client’s unique features and lifestyle. With a friendly and approachable demeanor, she is committed to enhancing her clients’ natural beauty and helping them feel confident. Kyla offers a thoughtful and transformative experience with every visit, whether you’re seeking a subtle refresh or a bold new look. Her chair is open to all—step in and experience her artistry firsthand!
Ky was also recently granted a full schollarship to the Evergreen Beauty Academy’s Educator in Training program, where she learned all the technical and personal skills of teaching and training, and graduated with a whole new degree to add to her hairstylist career. And she is absolutely amazing at it. Congratulations girl! Next step is getting married to her wonderful fiance and starting to train the next group of assistants to become more amazing hairstylists.
Olivia Tenkley | Hairstylist
Olivia is a stylist with a passion for creativity and a keen eye for detail. Known for her colorful personality and upbeat energy, she specializes in barbering, short haircuts, and natural dimensional blonding. Olivia is dedicated to crafting personalized looks that celebrate each client’s individuality and beauty. With a focus on building genuine relationships, she ensures every client leaves her chair feeling confident, valued, and inspired. Most of her free time is spent with her soon to be husband and their adorable puppy.
Jasmine Long |Hairstylist | Grey Blending and Lived-In Color Specialist
With years of experience in the beauty industry, Jasmine is a passionate hairstylist who specializes in grey blending, lived-in color, blonding, and long hair styles. Dedicated to helping clients feel their best, Jasmine empowers women through their hair, boosting their confidence and beauty every day. Whether you're after a full transformation or a simple refresh, Jasmine combines technical skill with a warm, friendly approach to make each appointment memorable.
Outside the salon, Jasmine enjoys spending time with her husband and their pets. A lover of coffee, reality TV, movies, and the great outdoors, she finds joy in life's simple pleasures.
Madison Blansfield | Hairstylist
Meet Madison, though you might hear her called Maddy or Mads around the salon. A rising talent in the industry, Maddy graduated at the top of her class from The Paul Mitchell School, Spokane after first exploring her path at Washington State University. Once she found her passion in hair, there was no turning back.
Maddy brings a strong foundation in haircutting and styling, with a special love for creating radiant, dimensional blondes. She’s also certified in hair extensions and is dedicated to helping her guests achieve the hair they’ve always dreamed of, whether that means volume, length, or a total transformation.
Outside the salon, she’s happiest spending time with her dog, staying active, and soaking up time with her close-knit family. But make no mistake, her heart is fully in this craft. Maddy’s drive to grow, learn, and deliver beautiful results is what makes her such a special part of the Bellissima team.
Charlie Bradley | Hairstylist
Charlie is our most recent graduate from the assistant training program at Salon Bellissima. She came to us with excitement to start a professional career as a hairstylist and we were so excited to help her on her journey! She is already thriving, talented, and enjoys color, highlights, new haircuts and learning new techniques. But Charlie also likes to make your vision a reality, from vivid colors to natural highlights, she is mostly proud of the great reviews and requests she has gained in her beginning as a stylist. She pays attention to detail, and isn't afraid of feedback from her peers, she proves she is ready to work with a high level of expectation and we're so thrilled for her. Nicci purchased Salon Bellissima in 2011 with a vision to create a warm, eco-conscious space where people could feel truly cared for. After starting her career behind the chair in 2004—and graduating with top honors from the Gene Juarez Academy—she spent nearly two decades growing a loyal following through her thoughtful, personalized approach to hair. Nicci has grown Salon Bellissima to be an award-winning multiple location salon. Today it is a Neighborhood Favorite since it began and generates over $1M in sales-while teaching the next generation of hairdressing dreamers the skills to do the same.
These days, Nicci has mostly stepped away from the styling chair to focus on leading the salon and supporting her incredible team to growth they hadn’t imagined. This shift gives her the space to pour even more into the overall guest experience, the sustainability practices she’s passionate about, and the continued growth of the Bellissima brand and it’s locations.
She’s still deeply involved in the day-to-day and educating—cheering her team on, curating the boutique, and keeping the vibe at Bellissima grounded, intentional, and full of heart.
When Nicci is at home, she’s in Eagle, Idaho with her two funny boys and husband she adores. Her favorite pastimes are traveling, experiences, living green, and spending time outside.
